Inspired by the Spirit of Sawah

A rice field, or “Sawah” in Indonesian, symbolizes patience, harmony, and the beauty of growth. This philosophy inspires Reisfeld Bali to create handmade sandals with care, balance, and purpose.

We thoughtfully select our materials, focus on comfort and timeless design, and work together with Balinese artisans to create unique footwear that celebrates craftsmanship, sustainability, and the beauty of Bali.

Our History

The Journey Behind Reisfeld Bali

My journey with handmade Bali sandals began in 2010, when my family started a small home-based sandal business in Bali. What started as a simple passion became a meaningful collaboration with talented Balinese women who created beautiful handmade sandals while supporting their families.

Through this experience, I discovered the beauty of Balinese craftsmanship—the patience, creativity, and dedication behind every handmade detail. In 2014, I had the opportunity to work with a German footwear company, where I gained valuable experience in sandal design, production management, quality control, packaging, and international shipping.

This journey strengthened my belief that Balinese artisans could create products with exceptional quality and unique character. Even after moving to Switzerland, my connection to Bali and my passion for craftsmanship remained.

In 2023, I decided to bring this experience back to life by creating Reisfeld Bali—a brand that combines my international experience with the soul of Balinese artistry.

My vision is to create comfortable, timeless sandals that celebrate Bali’s culture in a modern way while supporting small home industries and local artisans. Every Reisfeld Bali sandal is made with carefully selected materials, thoughtful design, and respect for the hands behind each creation.
